Conditions – Deep Sand Due to some extensive track preparation the circuit was much softer sand than expected, so unfortunately the boys found it very hard work in their least favourite conditions! With confidence growing from National level racing. Beamish MX Team race well with Charlie taking a maximum three comfortable wins. Oliver also races hard for sixth overall and an improving fourth place finish in the last race.
Conditions – Clay/soil, mixture of hardback and soft ruts. Both Beamish Boys feeling more at home with the conditions and starting to show the opposition their future intentions. Charlie consistently inside the top 10 with a 6th place finish being his best result to date at National Level. Oliver also breaking into the top 10 with a 9th place finish thrown in.
A good day today with tough racing throughout. Charlie takes second overall with a win and two seconds behind top National rideer Charlie Cole. Oliver takes three thirds for a strong third overall on the day.
Conditions – Mixture of soft sand and stones Another round in soft sandy conditions and was always going to be hard going for the Beamish Boys who have been brought up riding on hardpack dirt circuits. Both made big improvements as the weekend went on and learnt a lot about techniques in the sand.
Conditions – Medium Soft Sandy Circuit First shot at the National level event. Charlie battles all weekend just outside the top ten and Oliver just outside the top 20. A great learning experience and has shown them what they are up against.
Oliver starts the years racing with a sixth in the first race, followed by a masterful race win in slippery conditions after a midday downpour. Charlie opts for a practice day at Mildenhall in preparation for the first GT Cup event to be held there.
